Christian is a freelance writer who specialises in covering the leisure sector, the sports industry, the movie industry and the theme park industry, as well as writing travel features. He has been doing this since 2002 and has written for more than 20 leading publications including The Times, The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, the Independent, The Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal and Forbes. Theme Park Industry coverage archive
  

Christian is the only journalist worldwide who specialises in covering the theme park industry for national media. He has covered almost all of the key areas of the industry from interviewing shareholders and senior management to writing about themed hotel design, ride design, corporate alliances, themed sports facilities and even the use of theme parks as meeting venues. Notable scoops include revealing that Disney was planning to take over Disneyland Paris five years before it was announced and later revealing that it would invest £1.9bn in the resort.

This coverage includes features, analysis, exclusive news, cover stories and interviews with many of the industry's leading figures. Christian broke the news that the owner of the Savoy will never sell the hotel, that Warner Bros. is launching its first hotel and that Monaco's state-owned leisure operator, SBM, rejected an opportunity to buy a property in London.
  
Formula One coverage archive
  
Christian is the only journalist worldwide who specialises in covering the business of Formula One for national media. He has authored books on the subject and in 2007 founded Formula Money, the only business information service dedicated to F1. It runs the world's largest search engine of F1 sponsorship values (sponsors.formulamoney.com) and produces economic impact reports for around a quarter of the F1 race organisers. In 2012 Christian also founded the F1 ZOOM charity initiative which features the only collection of signed photos taken by the stars of any sport. More than 75,000 copies of the ZOOM book have been sold and it has raised more than £150,000 for charity. The initiative has been covered by Sky Sports, the BBC, CNN, ITV, Reuters, Associated Press, The Times, The Telegraph and The Daily Mail.

Christian has interviewed A List actors including Kurt Russell and Michael Douglas as well as studio executives such as former Disney chief executive Michael Eisner. His news coverage largely focuses on the cost of making movies, product placement deals in them, the amount of tax payers' money that is invested in them and the benefits they bring to the country where they are filmed.
